Carmel Valley Real Estate Homes For Sale and Condos
Carmel Valley is half way up the San Diego County coastline and has more in common with its neighbors; Sorrento Valley and La Jolla. Located adjacent to the beaches at Del Mar, the Del Mar Fairground and Torrey Pines with its biotech and communications industries just minutes away. It is a minor feature at the intersection of Interstate 5 and State Route 56. It’s about 20 minutes north of downtown San Diego and easy access south of the Palomar Airport and the Flower Fields in Carlsbad.
Carmel Valley real estate developments is a mixture of residential and business, consisting of single family homes, condominiums, townhomes, apartments and large employment centers. Residents are active and take advantage of the area’s open space to bike, skate, walk and run. The Carmel Valley Community Park offers a sport’s facility that includes playing fields, a swimming pool and a gym. Summer concerts are held in the park, and homes are close to the beaches in La Jolla and Del Mar, the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course and the Torrey Pines State Reserve.
The University of California San Diego and the tech center that has developed around the campus is immediately south of Carmel Valley. There are a few golf courses and a number of restaurants. The schools in Carmel Valley are some of the best in the nation.
